My name is Tenzin Pema from Zangkar Ruk Ruk in Ladhak. I was born into a farming family. My father's name is Tsering Wangdue and my mother's name is Sonam Dolma.
I was so interested in becoming a nun from the very small age but didn’t get the opportunity until I reached 20 which was on 2003. I went to a teaching in bodh gaya and after that I didn't go back to home I just decided to become a nun and with the help of lama Choeple Zopa I was in rolled in Jamyang Choeling Nunnery institute in 2003 and on that very same year I got the great opportunity to receive my ordination from his holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. I spent about 23years here in this Nunnery learning, practicing Buddhist philosophy, Dharma and other subjects. After finishing my classes I started preparing for my doctorate degree and finally I completed my Geshema 's degree in 2025 in bodh gaya. I felt so blessed and lucky to received such opportunities. I am so thankful to his holiness, my parents, my teacher, my classmates and my Nunnery for their great supports, guidance, encouragement and blessings. I dedicate my success to them. I hope that I will be able to give lots of services to my Nunnery and practice Dharma deeply. I with lots of gratitude, Tenzin Pema.
